Åsundsholm The Voi Project’s First Elephant

The Gunnardo family donated 41 000 kronor today for expansion of the farm in Voi. The family owns Åsundsholm Golf & Country Club and they have collected 20 kronor from every green fee of the season for donation to the project. The symbolic check was presented by Birgitta, Fredrik and Carl-Johan Gunnardo during a simple ceremony at the Voi location on the main walkway in Ulricehamn on Monday.

But that’s not all.

This family-owned business has also decided to be one of The Big Five and is the Voi project’s first Elephant sponsor, which means they have committed to giving at least 50 000 kronor a year over the next two years.

“We expect to see an increase in the number of golfers, so we will see more money in green fees this year compared to last year”, said Fredrik Gunnardo. “It will be at least 50 000 kronor per year for two years, maybe more.”

The Gunnardo family encourages other businesses to do something similar for the Voi project. It could be 20 kronor for every sold product, or 20 kronor for each service rendered. The only limit is your imagination.

The Voi project expresses a hearty thank you for the gift.

“We are very happy for this generous gift, said Jan-Åke Thorell from the Voi project’s steering committee. “It is also a gift with an obligation. We hope that the Gunnardo family can travel with us to Voi in the future to see how the funds have been used”
